Cusick Adoption Timeline

Dec 2011/ Jan 2012- Very seriously praying through whether this is the time to adopt
Jan/Feb 2012- Intensive research into what country and which agency
2/14/2012- Application submitted to Frank Adoption Center (FAC) for a adoption of a RUSSIAN son
2/20/2012-First home study by New Beginnings Adoption
3/11/2012-Second home study visit
3/14/2012-Third home study visit
3/16/2012-Fourth and final homestudy visit
4/4/2012- Official completion and approval of homestudy!!!
4/24/2012- Dossier packet completed and sent to FAC
**/2012-Official Date Dossier Date (date we are officially on FAC's waitlist for a referral)
6/4/2012- Call from FAC with referral info
6/6/2012- Officially accepted referral (after consul w/ MD; aka: we will travel to Russia to meet this little guy)
6/16-6/24/2012- First trip To Russia
6/19/2012- First meet with him in Kirov
6/20/2012- Official date we said "YES" to adopt him
7/20-7/30/2012- Dates of second trip to Russia
7/25/2012- Court date in Moscow (have to 30 days for official Russian adoption decree to bring him home)
8/24-9/1/2012-Dates of Third trip to Russia
8/29/2012- Gotcha Day (Day he is OURS to bring home)
9/1/2012-Nikolai gets to meet his entire family (in KY)
